Conca D'Oro Camping & Lodge

Brilliant campsite! Beautiful location on Lake Maggoire, good size pitches, brilliant facilities (including 3 bars and 3 shops!), a short walk to some lovely lake side restaurants etc. The campsite is big but it doesn't feel it at all. It's really well laid out and the drive in and some of the surrounding area is filled with rows of trees - it's beautiful. Amazing communication from the campsite staff (emailing back about 5 minutes after we sent one each time!). We didn't book far enough in advance to get a lake side pitch but will do for sure next time, the spots are stunning. We'll be back! Thank you :)

I can't lie as I was driving to pitch I thought I had made a mistake. looked a bit like a shanty town found my pitch parked up and settled in. Pitch was large next to pond and could see the beach. The beach is amazing water is so clear and no rubbish or litter. Shops ok for what you need and cafe looked good and was always busy and nice vibe. Free transport is great surrounding area great I would go again. 2 members of staff we spoke to were helpful and pleasant. Wash rooms toilets WC dump all good and clean piping hot water Would give a 5but some areas looked tired but it is end of season I guess

Nice camping. Very oriented to mobile houses rather than tents. Families looking for calm. I missed some plugs or the option to charge stuff at the reception. The toilets ran out of soap and nobody refilled it, so I guess that they were understaffed. Also I recommend checking that the pitch has some trees . Amazing views to the lake. The staff speaks a lot of languages and are very friendly

Well. When we visited this site, it was the main stay of our touring holiday. We were not disappointed. Great location, pitch was enormous. i could not get the first 2 sets of rows of pitches near the beach and thought I might be quite back from it, genuinely if I had tried, I could have thrown a ball and hit the sand. Its beautiful. Facilities, extremely clean and plentiful. Caters so well for families, but as a couple, this site was welcoming and homely. There was another couple next to us, I am positive that's why we got the pitch we did, and they were wonderful company. Great for cycling and obviously water sports, allowing us to do both every day. Up the road you could get to the train station - which we used to go into Stresa, or you could go down to Milan if the notion took you. Down from the site is the village of Feriolo, which is lovely, which had a market on, on the Thursday [please don't quote me], a lovely small church to view and it's where we caught the boat to the Borromean Islands - a definite must see visit. I love a wander around any museum or stately home, and this one does not disappoint, excellent value and a great day was had. We are already thinking about going back next year.

Low water and a wild growth of water plants (invasive species can grow due to climate change) make that swimming on the camping beach isn't really pleasurable, which is the number 1 reason to visit the campsite. This is a pity, especially in really hot weather (which is becoming common in this region). The camping would do well to build a good pool. Additionally they could focus a bit on stuff for older kids to do (move the ping pong table to the camp site, for example). The bars on site are nice, but the daily kids disco is a bit much, especially if you're in the central area. Feriolo is really nice and only a 10 minute walk away.

One of the best views from our pitch ever! Inm 2022 we were on the river area with lakeview pitch number RV6. Very quiet area with not very much entertainment or noise, but if you love to have a quiet pitch, like we do, than this is the one for you. The sanitary and extra services are ok. The restaurent on the campsite is excellent. You can go to the shopping center or the weekly market in Verbania , per bike. Both around 20-25min (with Ebike) Baveno and Stressa are also worth a visit. We would love to go back this year but a new rule for minimum stay 7 nights, interrupted our plans :(

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Camping Conca d'Oro, and overall, it was a great experience. The campsite's proximity to the lake and its range of amenities made our stay truly enjoyable. Additionally, the staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful throughout our visit, with special recognition to Deborah, who went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Her exceptional service deserves a five-star rating. However, I must mention a minor issue we encountered during our stay. Unfortunately, one of the steps leading to our mobile home superior was loose, and I ended up injuring my hand as a result. This maintenance oversight was not ideal, particularly for a mobile home superior category. On the bright side, the management at Camping Conca d'Oro handled the situation promptly and professionally. They offered us a 20 EUR discount out of 120 EUR on the extra night we had booked, which was a gesture of goodwill considering the inconvenience caused. Still the offer was very poor considering the damage it caused, my hand still hurts after 2 days. . This makes me give the camping a 4 **** rating instead of 5 *****. Overall, I highly recommend Camping Conca d'Oro for a pleasant experience. With its location near the lake, excellent amenities, and helpful staff, it's a great choice. Although we experienced a minor maintenance issue, the management's response and compensation were okey’ish. I hope the campsite addresses the maintenance concern for the benefit of future guests.
